Neer Dosa

eer dosa is known for its light, lacy texture and distinct preparation method.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup sona masuri or short grained rice
  • 2 tbsp grated coconut
  • 1 tsp salt or as per taste

Instructions
 

  • Soak rice for at least 8 hours
  • Grind it with coconut, little water and salt
  • Add more water and make it a thin batter
  • Use a seasoned cast iron or a non-stick pan. Pour a ladleful and rotate the nonstick to spread it. Trick is to have the pan very hot.
  • Pour a few drops of oil. Cover for 30 seconds.
  • Slide it onto a kudupu and let it cool for 5 mins before pouring the next one.
